2016-07-23 Magnetic Storm

On 2016-07-23 there was a magnetic storm that hit the earth. These magnetic storms are monitored by SID (Sudden Ionospheric Disturbances) Monitoring Stations. The station I use as a reference is the VLF radio station DHO38 on 23.4Khz most stations use this radio station as a reference. The data used was obtained from SID Monitoring Station A118 located in the South of France:

URL http://sidstation.loudet.org/home-en.xhtml. I also monitor DHO38 with similar results to their data. I decided to use their data as it’s an independent source of data, they also display the GEOS 15 X-Ray flux data which shows the event times.

While the alignment of the images and lines is not exact it does show that some of the events do appear to align with our data. While some of this could be a coincident a lot more testing is required to prove this.
